I have been on a self care journey throughout the entire summer. Initially, I thought that the journey would end up having a destination. However, now I realize that it doesn’t. It’s continuous and never ending, which can be extremely daunting and discouraging. In recognizing that I realized that these self-care practices would have been extremely useful when I was a kid. Had I learned how to manage my thoughts and emotions and be more mindful, I would have less stress overall. That’s why I decided to bring on two very special people in my life-my cousin’s children- Branden and Briana. They’re both 10-11 years old and are the chillest kids you’ll ever meet.
