Cyber Monday rolled around and the only thing I purchased was the Glossier Phase 2 MakeUp Kit. I have been dying to try out this brand for a while now and since seeing Anna from TheAnnaEdit talk about it, it went straight to the top of my wish list. The Phase 2 kit comes with three items in a beautifully packaged white box, which I’m definitely going to use for makeup storage. It also came with a bunch of cool stickers, a poster and the infamous pink ziplock bag. The original price goes for $50.00 and does not include shipping and handling. Luckily, I got it for $40.00 with the shipping fee waved.
The first item was the stretch concealer. I got the lightest shade and it’s a perfect match! It needs to be warmed up in order to go on smoothly so I’ve been applying this with my fingers and I love it. It’s really light and creamy and it doesn’t cake up or feel thick. I love that it’s small and come in a pot so I can touch up on the go and I can get all of the product out when I ‘hit pan’.
The second product is the sheer, matte lip stick called Generation G in the shade CAKE. To be honest, this was my least favorite product in the bunch. I thought the color would be a bit lighter and I’m not crazy about how it looks or smells. It does feel not but it is not going to be a must have, go-to product for me. Maybe I’ll shop my stash in the future and fall in love with it but for right now, there’s other lip products that are a bit better. It also does not look like the swatch on the website.
Lastly, the Boy Brow eyebrow tint is a must have. I’ve never been too into eyebrows but since I started getting them threaded, I’ve been looking for a great brow product. I have to say I enjoy using this way more than the Anastasia Brow Wiz. This is also really light, creamy and doesn’t make my eyebrows look too intense. The only downfall is that when you pull out the wand an excess of profit comes out and I have to try to wipe it off the rim of the tube to not lose product or make my eyebrows look insane. I’d definitely recommend it for brow newbies like myself.
I also wanted to quickly review the pink ziplock bag. I actually love the look of it and tried to repurpose it as my new makeup bag but it the zip broke on me right as I was packing it all up. I wish I could get another one and I might pop into the Glossier store in NYC to do just that!
Let me know if you’ve tired any of their products and what you think!
