I got a question about how I was able to figure out so much about medical schools and what the process here in the United States is like. Here we have two types of medical schools-allopathic (MD) and osteopathic (DO). Both schools produce qualified physicians that work side-by-side to in hospitals and clinics. If you’ve been watching my videos, you’d know I am applying to osteopathic medical schools and this my second time applying to medical schools. I made so many mistakes during undergrad and in my application that I wanted to make a video all about all the things you need to apply to medical school. I am very much a firm believer that a smart person learns from their own mistakes but a wise person learns from the mistakes of others. I’m hoping that because you are reading this, you are a wise person by figuring out exactly what you need before you start embarking on the very long road ahead of you. In the video below, I break down all the things you need to apply to medical school such as courses, mcat and shadowing.
I have also designed a PDF that is designed to help you keep all of your thoughts organized as you get ready to apply to medical school. The PDF below is the Pre-Med To Do List and you can access it by clicking here: PRE-MED TO DO LIST by Mason & Miles.
I hope that this to-do list helps you see everything you need clearly in one sheet of paper. The key to success is organization and timing! Make sure you get everything together as soon as possible! Applications open in a few weeks!
