Self-doubt eats at you even when you’re not paying attention. It’s claw away little by little with subconscious reminders of failure, lack of acceptance and other’s opinions. It’s a manifestation of tough love, no support and low self-esteem. Over the past few years I’ve been dealing with a lot of self-doubt. Don’t get me wrong, I know there are things I’m really good at. However, my failures hit me hard and weigh me down. The reason being because my failures are found in my career, the thing I love the most in this world. The blood, sweat and tears that have been poured over my textbooks and notes is endless. The amount of restlessness and continuous pushing of myself resulted in anxiety, depression and burn-out. After the years went by and I got a bit older, I realized that the only thing stopping myself is me. This isn’t to belittle my previous hard works but to give myself the opportunity to grow and become a better version of me. Once I become the best version of myself, I can become a better student, better workers and have a successful career. Why? Because I will focusing on what makes me happy and happiness is one of the keys to success. The other key is confidence. I need to believe in myself that I can accomplish thing. I wondered how I could achieve happiness and confidence without others? It all has to come from within.
