I’m officially onto phase two of the three part process of my medical school application. As you recall, I submitted my application earlier this month. Much to my surprise, I have already started recieving supplemental applications! For those of you that don’t know, medical schools that are interested in candidates invite them to complete a secondary or supplemental application. These are additional essays and information about the candidate. This is usually where you can write about any poor grades or anything else you need to explain. It’s also a great space to share things you couldn’t in your personal statement. After submitting the secondary application. Admissions committee then reads your entire application and determines whether or not they would like to invite you for an interview. After the interview, candidates find out if the institution accepts them or not. In the video below, I share with you my process of getting through my supplemental essays and projects for graduate school!
